Individuals and communities tell their stories of how they have preserved and continue to celebrate their culture, language and traditions in the face of adversity. Acadians are the descendants of French settlers who settled in what are now the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island in the 17th century. Their history is one of displacement, resistance, and resettlement.
