Thirty years ago, filmmaker Philippe de Pierpont met six children living on the streets in Burundi. He vowed to film them at key stages in their lives. Today, he reunites with them for the fourth time: they are aged forty and only three of them are left alive. What outlook do they have on themselves and the world around them?
