Season 2 | Episode 3: Moses

WaPo Berlin

Crime, Germany 2021

The Berlin Water Police are called to the scene when a baby is found in a bathtub on Lake Wannsee. The investigators quickly discover that the baby is Leo Heppendorf. The infant comes from a wealthy family. His grandfather, Klaus, owns a traditional Berlin stationer's. The kidnappers demand two million euros ransom. But when the handover is due to take place, in which the WaPo team is ready to arrest the perpetrators, they fail to turn up. Were the kidnappers really in it for the money? Or is Johannes Brinkfeld, Leo's father, behind the kidnapping? He and Leo's mother have recently separated. Everything points to him wanting to put her under pressure. It also appears that the company is not doing as well financially as one thought, according to Klaus Heppendorf. The imperious company boss has also made a lot of enemies by being forced to make several members of staff redundant. Could the kidnapping be the revenge of a former shop assistant? On top of this, Klaus Heppendorf repeatedly attempts to undermine the WaPo investigations, by contacting Alexandra Falkenbach, the police president with whom he has been friends for years. Events come to a head when Fahri makes a serious mistake ….
